To Adults and Young Adults
I provide a confidential and safe space for individuals, adults and young adults who are suffering, feeling stuck or facing unexpected life circumstances, and who are seeking psychoanalytic therapy to speak about their difficulties.
Through the process of speaking freely and being heard, psychoanalysis may open new ways to approach difficulties, leading to shifts in how you relate to yourself, others, and your life.
I welcome people of all cultural backgrounds, religions, sexes, sexualities, and gender identities.
I accept referrals from healthcare professionals, as well as self-referrals.
You are welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial consultation and discuss the possibility of working together.
Psychoanalysis is a talking therapy that departs from the position that we are moved by unconscious processes as much as we are by conscious ones.
Our adult life is marked by traces of our early life, and whether we are aware of it or not, the past continues to play an important part in how we relate to ourselves, to others, and to the situations we encounter.
Through the process of speaking in a psychoanalytic context, and through a specific way of listening by the analyst, the conflicts and fears that underlie our difficulties can gradually become less painful, and something previously unknown can emerge.
Psychoanalysis offers the possibility of creating a new relationship to one’s own history, not by erasing the past, but by finding new ways of understanding and relating to it.
Psychoanalysis is not the kind of therapy where you will find standardised advice or techniques. It does not aim to adapt people to predefined ideas of normality, nor does it focus on a symptom-based or symptom-reduction approach. Rather, psychoanalysis aims to help each person explore and engage with the root causes of their difficulties within the context of their life and unique personal history.
You are welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial consultation, which is free of charge. We discuss what brings you to psychoanalysis at this moment in your life and the possibility of working together. You are welcome to ask questions about whether my approach is what you are looking for. We will also discuss practical matters such as the frequency of sessions and the fee.
In psychoanalysis, money has symbolic meanings, so the fee varies depending on your individual financial circumstances.
Sessions usually take place once or twice a week, or more.
Sessions are variable in length and can last up to 50 minutes.
Psychoanalysis takes time and is open-ended. While it can be helpful to talk through and plan an ending together, the duration of the treatment is ultimately up to you.
My cancellation notice period is 48 hours, from Monday to Friday. Sessions cancelled outside this notice period are due full payment.
My practice is located in London SW12 (Clapham / Balham, South London), a few minutes’ walk from Clapham South Underground station.
I also offer online sessions for those living outside London or overseas.

I am a psychoanalyst originally from Brazil, living and working in London, and I work in English and Portuguese.
I began my psychoanalytic formation in 2016 and completed the clinical training with the Centre for Freudian Analysis and Research (CFAR) in the United Kingdom, of which I am a member.
Before establishing my private practice in London, I gained experience through placements and voluntary work. At City & Guilds of London Art School, I provided psychoanalytic psychotherapy to students pursuing BA and MA courses. I also worked with the Psychosis Therapy Project (PTP) at Islington Mind, providing psychotherapy to people experiencing psychosis. Additionally, I worked with adults in long-term psychotherapy at the WLM Highbury Counselling Centre (HCC) and conducted assessment interviews with new clients. Earlier, I volunteered at Refuge on the National Domestic Abuse Helpline, where I offered listening and support to women experiencing domestic violence.
I am part of Bubble & Speak, a drop-in established in 2016 and inspired by the tradition of La Maison Verte, initiated by the French child psychoanalyst Françoise Dolto. We offer a space for children under four years old, together with their parents and carers, to begin socialising and playing. We aim to support young children in the early development of their individuality, while also supporting parents and carers in navigating the challenges of raising them.
